Oxu Solutions believes that even when working within the context of annual budgets, bureaucratic systems, and humanitarian emergencies, longer term planning is essential and possible. Even in difficult environments, the kinds of changes that need to happen require a vision of the longer-term, even if resources and security place time constraints on individual projects. Oxu is committed to helping our clients identify opportunities for improvement within new or existing projects and moving them toward better long-term outcomes.
Strategy without measurement is just words.
Even projects that have great strategic vision can fail to meet their goals or almost as bad, organizations are unable to show whether they have succeeded or not because they did not plan what they would measure, or they find at the end of the project that they don’t have the data they need to show whether they realized their strategy. Measurement should happen at the end of the project or strategic planning period and along the way, so that adjustments can be made. Oxu specializes in creating strategic monitoring plans to assure that goals and objectives are achieved (and realistic in their design), and that activities are contributing to those outputs and outcomes according to plans.

Oxu draws exclusively on staff who have worked in the field in conflict, post-conflict, and transition environments, in both humanitarian and development programs. As consultants who have faced similar challenges to those of our partners, we are better able to help them strategize and problem solve.
